The Orville L. Chapman Science Learning Center is an
instructional computing facility for the Life and Physical Sciences at UCLA.
The SLC occupies the 4th floor of Young Hall South and is available for
scheduled undergraduate classes as well as student drop-in use.

Designed for optimal delivery of computer-based instruction, the SLC features a unique classroom layout organized around a central octagonal casement. This arrangement combines a natural focus on interactive teaching materials with a seating capacity of 2-3 students per station to foster collaborative and self-paced student explorations.
Funded by Instructional Enhancement Fees on undergraduate science courses, the SLC exists to support the instruction of science at UCLA. Your comments and suggestions are welcome. Please send them to:
