Hardware

The SLC consists of eight classrooms (rooms 4335-4351) on the 4th floor of Young Hall South, and one classroom (room 1054) on the First floor of Young Hall. SLC rooms are primarily reserved for classes, but may be used by any student during operating hours when no class sections are scheduled.

Room 4351 & 4350 are usually available for drop-in use during normal hours of operation.

Rooms 4335, 4336, 4341 & 1054 are equipped with SmartBoard interactive White Boards and Projectors. Instructor stations and the front of the room allow an instructor to lead a class session using this innovative display technology.

SLC is also managing a computer lab for graduate students use (Room 4067). The lab is equipped with SmartBoard and a projector, and can be reserved for graduate courses. When the lab is not in use for teaching, Physical & Life Science’s grad students can use the lab for independent work 24/7 if entering the room during SLC hours of operation.
